cant speak for a mk6 but my dad had a mk5 2.0 tdi with 140hp, which I originally wanted to buy but due to high mileage, bad looks, the high chance of something breaking (needed a new flywheel after like 2 months) and not to mention the gearbox that felt like moving a stick in a bucket of nails. Looking at getting my mk6 golf 1.6tdi remapped to stage 1. I had my gtd remapped so been through the process before, but have question regarding the DQ200 DSG gearbox. I’ve read on forums it’s max torque is 250 nm which it’s already at. The map takes it from 103bhp to 140bhp and 250nm to 318nm.
