Citroen - Dispatch (2006) 110hp - changing fuel filter. Serviced my 2006 Citroen Dispatch yesterday, only problem being the fuel filter. Any advice on changing it? Is the pump self bleeding or is there a hand pump? The model is the 110 hp version, the new filter is a paper canister type meaning the filter casing needs split.

Took to main dealer and was told new fuel filter required at cost of £200 and not covered by warranty. Told the cold weather had caused the diesel to thicken and cause waxing on fuel filter. Told it's not a Citroen issue but issue with diesel sold on most forecourts and supermarkets. Is this really true, feels like a design issue to me.
